Bikini Bottom

I really don't know for sure what Riley is talking about in this video. She was marching around with this walking stick and shouting something about having to leave Bikini Bottom. Bikini Bottom is a place in the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants.

Random Photos

Asleep in the car, dreaming, then suddenly puts her blanket on her head. Why? Who knows. At a performance of Blue Man Group in Springfield. Photo came up on here twice.

At the lake

Now that it stays light later, and it's been warm out, I can take the kids to the lake after work for a little while. Riley loves it and Logan is warming up to the idea. Very peaceful.

Riley's Birthday Party

Finally some new photos! These were obviously taken at Riley's birthday party, which we held at the start of March. At the youth center at the park you can rent the gym for parties, including renting a "bouncy castle" and "bouncy slide". Needless to say it was a great hit. She and her friends had a ton of fun. I imagine she would have had as much fun without any gifts or cake.

I just realized I haven't posted photos on th kids' blogs in quite a while. I couldn't log into them for a bit for some reason and then I lost track of time. I do have some new photos I will be posting soon, so please don't give up on me!

AirEvac Lifeteam

Riley LOVES helicopters. We stopped one day at the base for the helicopter "ambulance" near Mountain Home and asked if they could show her the helicopter. They were happy to. Riley loved it. Those men were so nice and so good with Riley. They let her get in the copter and answered her questions and took photos with us. It was great. She had a great time and they are awesome guys.

Christmas

Here's just a couple of Christmas photos. Riley is playing with her little dollhouse. The photos below are actually before Christmas; with Riley in the tutu dress i made her.

Final Blanchard photos

This is still at Blanchard Springs, but it's the swimming area. Riley loves to throw rocks in the water, which is why we brought her here. Of course in the winter it's not so evident, but it's a very pretty area. We'd love to bring the kids here in the summer.

More Blanchard

More at Blanchard Springs. As you can see, Riley chose her outfit. Nothing says hiking in January like a pink tutu.

Blanchard Springs

We all went down to Blanchard Springs the weekend of January 7. Art adjusted my hiking pole for Riley to use and she thought that was awesome! She loves looking at the water and climbing on the rocks.

Halloween

Here's more photos of her Halloween costume right before we left to trick or treat. Logan was sleeping at the time so I don't have photos of him yet.

Trick or Treat

Here is Riley in her Halloween costume that I made for her. She really enjoys it and wants to wear it every day. She really had fun with trick or treating this year.

Peanuts

A recent conversation between Riley and myself:

"What's dat, Mommy?" as she squats down to inspect Logan's privates after a bath.

Me: "That's his penis. It's where his pee comes out"

Riley: "His peanuts?"

Me: "No, penis."

Riley: "Peanuts?"

Me: "Yeah, ok."

Riley: "I has a peanuts."

Me: "No, you don't. Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina."

Riley: "I has a bagina, boys has a peanuts."

A later conversation in the car, that Riley was having with herself:
"I not has a peanuts. I has a gina. Mommy has a gina. Logan has a peanuts, Daddy has a peanuts, boys has peanuts."

And yet another conversation:
"I a princess, Mommy." Then she names a couple of little friends at preschool that are princesses, then also names a boy.
Me: "A boy is a prince, a girl is a princess."
Riley: "A boy not a princess."
Me: "I know, a boy is a prince and a girl is a princess.:
Riley: "A boy NOT a princess. A princess not has peanuts."
